This is what happened: Wind and Fire Barbary Coast Chapter MC – (San Francisco Fire Chapter) President John Voelker (Johnny V) was seriously injured & was in a coma from the accident he had at the end of January 2005 for many months. After a 10 month struggle he passed on Dec 4th, 2005. His friendship, leadership and sense of humor are sorely missed. Missed by all his bros. on the SFFD, the W&FMC Barbary Coast Chapter and all who have known John and know how special a person he is.

Nitros was at the party supporting his bros and it was one ass kicking party! Lots of patches, lots of fun & lots of good people. Hundreds of bikers came down and supported this event. There were two live bands and hot babes everywhere, I mean everywhere!

The new 2005 Dyna was raffled off by blind drawing at the party and it was a legit drawing. Damn I didn't win but it went to the right guy. A dude from Poland who wanted a Harley so bad but could only afford a dirt bike. He didn't even want the raffel ticket - he just wanted to donate to the cause. Approximately $40k was raised just from the bike. Winning ticket was the first ticket sold by Big Bob Barbary Coast Wind and Fire MC. Proceeds support the AARBF Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation and the good work that they do, proceeds from the Raffle will go to AARBF’s “Champ Camp.” A summer camp for burn injured children near Fresno, Ca.

AARBF’s “Champ Camp" is also the charity that NitrosMike chose ( in honor of Johnny V.) to benefit from the 9-11 Memorial Motorcycle Parade 9/17/05 S.F, Ca. Meet at Dudley Perkins HD 123 So. Van Ness at noon. Parade at 1pm prompt!

>>>>>To Nitros Mike from Wind and Fire MC:
Thanks for coming down and joining us at the Benefit. We appreciate your being there and showing your support for our Bro. Johnny V.
Thank you for the write-up on your site. I can tell by the photos you have posted that you had a good time! We are glad, because that was our intention... To raise the spirits of family, friends and loved ones of our Brother Johnny V. And, while having a good time in a time of hurt and uncertainty, we hoped to raise money to help Johnny and his family. Also, the Bike Raffle & Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament we held recently to support Johnny's kids of the AARBF"Champ Camp" where JV is a camp counselor working directly with burn injured children.
Thanks to you and all that attended, we have reached that goal and will be proud to present the AARBF with a large check for the Camp in Johnny's name.

Thank You, W&FMC/Barbary Coast Chapter
